Busy, busy, busy!!  The puppies have had so many new experiences.  They traveled by car to Winston-Salem for a family Thanksgiving.  They had lots of people from just over a year old all they way up to 70 something, holding them and playing with them.  They did great on the car ride and had a blast with all the new people.  With the nice weather, they have been able to spend a good amount of time outdoors.  I will post pictures tomorrow.  I did post some today on our Face Book page, https://www.facebook.com/searidgepwds so be sure to check it out!

4 weeks old!  The puppy's had lots of visitors this weekend.  They are beginning to play more and more and their personalities are really starting to shine through.  Some of them have even had the zoomies.  All of the puppies are teething and most got their first teeth in on Fri. or Sat. of this week.  We had a very brief period of time outside on Thursday but it was too cold so we came in.  It's supposed to be 70 tomorrow, so I think we will try again.  Here are a few pictures we took of them today.

Puppies are growing and changing so fast!!  Their personalities are really starting to come through.  I love how they are barking at each other and playing so awkwardly.  Sometimes they will pop up and start running to nowhere in particular.  They fall, pop back up and run in another direction.  They love to cuddle with all of us and with each other too.

Puppies are changing quickly!  They started playing with each other a very little bit yesterday and today they have really been having fun together.  They have begun to do some wrestling and pulling on each others' ears.  It's so cute to watch them.  We had the first escapee from the whelping box.  I'll be adding some new toys to the whelping box tomorrow.  I added a little dog bed that they love to curl up on and snuggle against.  Here are a few pictures from the weekend.

More advances!

The puppies are really beginning to grow and change.  I have to say, they are about as sweet as any puppies I've seen.  They love to be held and cuddled.  Luckily, there are lots of us here to do that!  When I sit in the whelping box, they all crawl too me and crawl up into my lap and are content to just lay there.  The daily changes are amazing.  It seems as if you can see them grow.  They are still gaining weight quickly.  I had to buy a new scale today, they've outgrown their old one.  Some milestones from yesterday and today: Yesterday, we had our puppies taking their first steps.  They were quite wobbly and could only go a few steps before falling over on their faces.  Today, most are walking several steps without falling!  Yesterday, we saw a few of the puppies raise their rear legs to scratch themselves.  Today, many were doing it and one started moving the rear leg in a scratching motion as I was scratching it's chest!  Today, one puppies eyes are almost all the way open.  Most should be open by the weekend.  I will try to post more pictures to our face book page soon.

New Milestone!

The puppies are still growing like weeds.  Several of them are  over 2 pounds!  They have all gained weight way ahead of schedule.  Several pups began taking their very first steps today!  It's so cute to watch how they get up on their wobbly legs and take a step or two before toppling over.  They still mainly just eat and sleep.  Their eyes should begin to open sometime between now and the end of the weekend.

Puppies!

We are pleased to announce our puppies arrived on October 25, 2014.  The first little boy arrived about 11:30 am.  Sprite delivered 4 beautiful girls and 5 robust boys.  Sire is Keeva Bay's Fifty Shades, (Christian) Dam is Cove's End My Wish at SeaRidge (Sprite).

The puppies gained weight like gang busters!  The vet likes to see them double their weight by 10 days.  All the puppies doubled their weights in less than 24 hours!  They continued to gain at amazing speeds and all tripled their birth weight well before their 1 week birthday.  Sprite's a great mom.
